Job Summary
The IT Operations Specialist – Business Systems Analyst (BSA) helps improve efficiency through technology by managing, maintaining, and securing the company's business systems. The role involves analyzing, supporting, and enhancing systems to improve processes and help business units achieve their goals. The IT Ops BSA works closely with end-users, developers, vendors, and other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable system operations.
Key Responsibilities
Application Maintenance
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for IT systems.
- Manage system updates, version control, and deployment to ensure stability and functionality.
- Test new and existing features and communicate changes to users.
- Monitor system performance after updates and troubleshoot issues, escalating when needed.
User Training
- Identify user training needs for systems, tools, and procedures.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing system guidance.
Documentation
- Prepare and maintain user manuals, business procedures, and system documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of customization or enhancement requests.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and external security regulations.
- Conduct regular audits, particularly on servers, to maintain compliance and data integrity.
User Support
- Provide day-to-day support for all business systems, including POS and ERP.
- Ensure POS system functionality and minimize operational delays due to technical issues.
- Maintain ERP uptime, manage user accounts and permissions, and support users in resolving errors.
- Escalate complex issues to partner consultants, providing detailed reports for faster resolution.
- Perform in-depth analysis and coordinate with service providers for system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in an IT-related role is a must
- Experience with ERP or POS systems (preferably in Retail or Hospitality) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence or Analytics tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Willing to work fully onsite in a day shift schedule in Quezon City.
