Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: 6811 Ayala Avenue, Makati City | Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer who will be assigned to support one of our valued clients in Australia. You will play a key role in developing safe, efficient, and high-quality designs that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies based on customer specifications.

 Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documentation.

 Provide input to concept builds, including fitment guidelines and design standards.

 Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and risk management standards.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and project engineers.

 Manage design data and project schedules using PDM and SmartSheet (or equivalent tools).

 Follow and continuously improve engineering SOPs for consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

 At least 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering (manufacturing, automotive, or related

field preferred).

 Proficiency in SolidWorks

 Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

 Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) systems and SmartSheet is desirable.

 Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability (DFM), and safety

compliance.

 Ability to interpret and apply design standards, specifications, and working instructions (WI).

 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

 Knowledge of fitment and design guidelines for truck components, roof accessories, lights, electrical

accessories, and in-cab accessories.

 Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and risk management methodologies.

 Good communication skills to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.

 Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule

 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (aligned with Australian clients)

 Mondays to Fridays (Weekends off)

 Full onsite, office-based role in Makati City
