Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 9am-7pm Monday to Friday, NZ Time

Reports to: Sales Manager / Director

Remuneration: Base + performance incentives, aligned to demonstrated ANZ sales outcomes

Eco Lawn is one of New Zealand's leading suppliers and installers of synthetic turf, operating across residential, commercial, education, and sports markets.

We run a systemised, technology-led sales operation. Accuracy, follow-through, and commercial discipline matter here. This is not a loose, relationship-only sales environment. We track performance, test assumptions, and expect salespeople to own outcomes end to end.

Our products are not simple commodities. Selling Eco Lawn well requires understanding construction methodology, site constraints, product performance, and risk. Technical fluency is non-negotiable.


About the Role

This is a pure sales role with teeth.

Your primary responsibility is closing revenue from Australian and New Zealand customers. You will manage leads through qualification, quoting, objection handling, and close.

You will become a technical expert in Eco Lawn's products and systems so that customers trust your recommendations and pricing logic. You do not need prior turf experience, but you must be capable of mastering technical detail quickly and accurately.

You will also be expected to prepare and issue quotes using our online systems. This is a tool, not the job.

This role suits someone who:

  • Understands sales psychology and buying behaviour.
  • Is comfortable handling price resistance and scope objections.
  • Can explain complex offerings clearly without hiding behind jargon.
  • Takes personal responsibility for conversion rates and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Closing
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities across NZ and Australia.
  • Qualify leads ruthlessly to avoid wasted time and weak quotes.
  • Apply structured sales psychology and closing techniques to progress deals.
  • Handle objections around price, scope, and perceived value with confidence.
  • Drive opportunities through to close, not just "quote sent".
Technical Mastery
  • Become deeply knowledgeable in Eco Lawn products, systems, and installation logic.
  • Understand construction sequencing, site variables, and common risk factors.
  • Explain technical scope and assumptions to customers in plain English.
  • Identify when a job is under-scoped, high risk, or misaligned commercially.
Quoting and Systems
  • Create accurate, professional quotes using Eco Lawn's online quoting tools.
  • Ensure scope, pricing, and assumptions are aligned with delivery reality.
  • Maintain clean CRM records including notes, documents, and sales assumptions.
  • Work closely with estimating and operations where escalation is required.

Required Skills and Experience (Non-Negotiable)
  • Proven sales success with Australian and or New Zealand customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals, not just generate interest.
  • Experience in construction-adjacent industries such as landscaping, building, flooring, civil, or technical services is strongly preferred.
  • Clear interest in sales psychology, persuasion, and structured closing techniques.
  • Confident English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, performance-driven environment.

If you cannot evidence real ANZ sales outcomes, this role is not a fit.


Preferred Experience
  • Experience selling technically complex or high-consideration products.
  • Background in synthetic turf, landscaping, construction, or trade services.
  • Familiarity with CRM-driven sales processes.
  • Experience preparing or issuing quotes as part of a sales role.
