App Review Developer Support
, you will support the client's App Store by ensuring high-quality standards for both published and newly submitted apps. This multifaceted role encompasses auditing third-party applications, conducting complex app reviews, and facilitating collaboration with developers and product teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, technical knowledge, and a passion for enhancing the partner experience throughout the app lifecycle.
The ideal candidate combines a robust technical foundation with a deep understanding of the app review process and ecosystem. They are detail-oriented and efficient, capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for eCommerce, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, will enable them to build effective partnerships with developers and product teams, leading to a successful app experience for the client's merchants.
Key Responsibilities:
- App Review and Assessment: Conduct detailed reviews of both public apps and escalated app submissions to ensure compliance with quality and security standards.
- Developer Support: Provide guidance and best practices to app partners to assist in building high-quality applications that effectively serve merchants.
- Queue Management: Oversee the app submission process, ensuring a swift review turnaround
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with product teams on new app types, API changes, and process improvements, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain internal resources, creating and updating knowledge management tools related to app store requirements while mentoring new hires and supporting their onboarding.
Key Technical Skills:
- API Proficiency: Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with experience in evaluating or integrating APIs in app development.
- App Development Knowledge: Familiarity with the app development lifecycle, including coding and technical requirements necessary for client applications.
- Strong UX practices: Being able to apply visual requirements to app design, and understanding good UX practices.
- Ecosystem Understanding: Thorough knowledge of eCommerce ecosystems, especially relating to client's Partner Ecosystem, and the ability to evaluate app functionality within that context.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Ruby, Python) to understand app behaviors, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with developers.
- Security Awareness: Knowledge of app security fundamentals, including common vulnerabilities and best practices for secure app development.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2+ years in a technology or operations role, preferably within app development, quality assurance, or support.
- Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to catch errors and enforce quality standards.
- Design Background: The ability to apply UX frameworks to submissions quickly and effectively to grade against.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and prioritization abilities to navigate multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing unique challenges and crafting solutions and being able to think critically.
- Comfortable with Subjectivity: All apps are different, and as we apply our requirements and standards, grey areas may arise. The ability to think critically about how some requirements may or may not apply will be needed.
- Can start ASAP or within 30 days.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science) or equivalent professional experience.
Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:
- 100% onsite in TaskUs' Pampanga site (House Teamwork)
- Night Shift PHT (7:00 PM to 4:00 AM PHT)
- Weekends Off
