Position Title: Front Office Supervisor
Department: Front Office / Reception
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Hotel Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Office Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Front Office to ensure efficient, smooth, and professional guest service. This role supports the Front Office team by providing guidance, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring that hotel standards are consistently met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFront Office Operations
- Supervise daily front desk operations including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
- Ensure all front desk procedures are followed according to company standards.
- Monitor room availability, room status, and coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments.
- Maintain accuracy in handling cash, payments, folios, and reports.
Guest Service
- Provide excellent guest service and support the team in resolving guest issues or complaints promptly.
- Assist guests with special requests, concerns, and information about hotel services.
- Ensure VIP and special-arrival guests receive prioritized attention.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate Front Office staff to deliver high-quality service.
- Conduct coaching, side-by-side guidance, and monitor staff performance.
- Organize daily briefings and ensure proper communication of updates, events, and occupancy levels.
Administration
- Assist in preparing front office reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Ensure proper documentation of incidents, guest concerns, and operational logs.
- Recommend improvements for procedures, systems, and workflow.
Coordination
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Security, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate room moves, early check-ins, late check-outs, and special requirements.
- Ensure front office equipment and supplies are complete and functional.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
- At least 1–2 years of Front Office/Reception experience; supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in hotel systems and MS Office.
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask.
- Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
