Job Summary:
The Front Desk Officer is responsible for delivering excellent guest service by managing check-in and check-out procedures, handling reservations, and assisting guests with inquiries. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide prompt and courteous service.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out efficiently using the hotel's property management system (PMS).
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and room assignments accurately.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, promotions, and local attractions.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in front desk or customer service (hotel experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Neat appearance and professional demeanor.
- Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Must be willing to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays
