Job summary
The Corporate Strategy and Planning Specialist assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring the company's strategic initiatives. This role is highly analytical, requiring strong research and data analysis skills to provide senior leadership with the insights needed for informed decision-making. The specialist works cross-functionally with various departments to ensure strategic alignment and support key projects from conception to execution.
Key responsibilities
Corporate planning and development
- Assist in the development and regular review of the company's multi-year strategic plans, objectives, and roadmaps.
- Conduct in-depth market, competitive, and industry trend analysis to identify new growth opportunities and potential threats.
- Help formulate specific strategies for achieving corporate objectives, such as expanding into new markets or optimizing existing operations.
- Provide support during organizational changes, including evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
Performance analysis and monitoring
- Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Build and maintain financial models, business cases, and data analysis tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Assess business performance and progress toward goals on a regular basis (e.g., quarterly or annually).
Project management and collaboration
- Lead or support cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic projects and high-impact initiatives.
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Marketing, and Operations to align goals and ensure effective implementation of strategies.
- Assist with project governance tasks, including maintaining documentation, tracking progress, and communicating deadlines.
- Facilitate strategic planning workshops and meetings with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in strategic corporate planning, corporate development, management consulting, or business analysis is common.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in project management (PMP) or strategy execution are a plus.
