Overview

We are seeking a tenacious, empathetic, results‑driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to fuel our outreach efforts, generate leads, and help bring our life‑changing programs to centers in need. This telesales‑focused role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, passion for public safety, and the drive to grow a mission‑oriented business.

You'll play a key role in expanding our client's impact — introducing our training and consulting services to emergency communications centers, igniting interest, and qualifying prospects for our program offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Calling & Outreach: Conduct high-volume outbound calls and outreach (phone + email) to dispatch centers, emergency communications agencies, public‑safety departments, and other potential clients, introducing our training, wellness, and leadership services.
  • Lead Qualification & Discovery: Use consultative, needs‑based discovery to understand agencies' culture, pain points (e.g. burnout, staffing challenges, retention, leadership gaps), and assess suitability offerings.
  • Email Campaign & Nurturing: Design, execute, and manage targeted email outreach and nurture campaigns (e.g. newsletters, follow-up sequences) to engage leads and maintain regular communication.
  • CRM & Database Management: Maintain impeccable CRM data hygiene: log contact details, call notes, follow-up actions, and lead status (e.g. cold, warm, qualified) — ideally using HubSpot or a similar CRM.
  • Appointment Setting & Handoff: Schedule meetings, demos, or discovery calls between prospective clients (e.g. center managers, supervisors, leadership teams) and the program/sales team to demonstrate service offerings.
  • Performance Tracking & Metrics: Meet or surpass weekly/daily KPIs for call volume, lead generation, email engagement, qualified leads, and scheduled appointments.
  • Feedback & Market Insight: Gather feedback, common concerns, objections, and recurring themes from calls or email conversations and relay to management to help refine outreach messaging, service positioning, and value propositions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • CRM Expertise: Proven experience as a power user of HubSpot (or equivalent CRM tool), including contact management, pipeline workflows, and email automation.
  • Sales & Outreach Aptitude: 2–3 years of telesales, SDR, outbound lead generation, or related sales experience (experience with B2B, public‑sector, nonprofit or service‑based offerings is a plus).
  • Strong Communication: Exceptional English verbal and written communication, comfortable engaging over phone and email, with an empathetic yet persuasive approach (especially when interacting with public‑safety professionals under stress).
  • Empathy & Public Safety Understanding: Sensitivity to the unique challenges of 9‑1‑1/dispatch work — able to appreciate and articulate services address stress, burnout, team morale, leadership, and retention issues.
  • Organizational & Follow‑Up Skills: Strong discipline in follow-up, scheduling, managing multiple leads and campaigns simultaneously, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with CRM systems, email tools, call software, productivity tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack), and remote work setups.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Able to handle rejection, objections, and persistence required for cold‑calling and nurturing long‑sales‑cycle leads.

Compensation

$6–$7/hour, based on your experience in sales outreach, lead generation, and managing client communications.
