Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. This role works closely with developers and stakeholders to identify defects, validate requirements, and ensure that software solutions meet established quality standards before deployment. The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in improving software quality through structured testing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and system applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify software defects, performance issues, and usability concerns.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and project teams to understand requirements and ensure testability.
  • Document, track, and report defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, processes, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • College graduate with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Software testing, Testing Automation, and Test case creation.
  • ISTQB Certification is a plus but is not required.
