Job Description: You'll play a crucial role in supporting a thriving accounting practice by taking ownership of monthly bookkeeping for an established client portfolio. This position directly enables senior leadership to focus on strategic growth and business development while you build expertise across diverse client needs. You'll work in a collaborative environment where asking questions is valued over making assumptions, ensuring accuracy and continuous professional development as the business scales internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle monthly bookkeeping for established clients 
  • Process day-to-day financial transactions using Xero accounting software
  • Maintain accurate financial records and client-specific bookkeeping requirements
  • Collaborate with UK-based team of 12 office staff to ensure seamless client service
  • Ask clarifying questions when uncertain to maintain accuracy and build client knowledge
  • Support business growth by freeing senior staff for strategic development activities
  • Adapt to evolving client needs as the firm expands into international markets
  • Contribute to streamlined processes that enable rapid business scaling

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Xero accounting software (essential)
  • MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals with multi-client experience
  • Previous experience in an accounting firm or similar client-service environment
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on proactive question-asking
  • Detail-oriented approach prioritizing accuracy over speed
  • Ability to learn and adapt to client-specific processes and requirements
  • Bonus if you have experience with international accounting or Dubai/Middle East markets
