Job Summary:
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, marketing, and selling the company's products and services related to firefighting and life-saving equipment and systems. This role combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide customers with the right safety solutions, maintain client relationships, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing:
- Promote and sell fire protection and life-saving equipment and services to new and existing clients.
- Prepare and submit sales quotations, proposals, and bids in coordination with the technical team.
- Conduct product presentations, client visits, and site inspections to assess customer requirements.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to business growth.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Provide pre-sales and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle inquiries, follow-ups, and coordinate service schedules with the operations team.
Technical Coordination:
- Understand and explain technical specifications of firefighting and life-saving equipment.
- Coordinate with the engineering/service team for product testing, maintenance, and servicing requirements.
- Stay updated on relevant standards, certifications, and compliance requirements (SOLAS, IMO, MARINA, BFP, etc.).
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain records of customer accounts, quotations, and transactions.
- Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows, safety seminars, and product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in sales, preferably in firefighting, life-saving, or marine safety industry.
- Knowledge of firefighting and lifesaving equipment standards and services is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be results-driven, customer-oriented, and willing to do fieldwork.
- With a valid driver's license is an advantage.
