JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
- Must have a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- With at least four (4) years of managerial role or six (6) years of supervisory role is an advantage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Manage the Accounting Department together with the CFO.
- Monitoring day-to-day accounting operations. Ensuring there is a backup process in place for all finance-related operations. Maintaining existing internal control.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) to the management. Analyze and investigate the balance sheet and income statement accounts for any unusual balances and prepare adjustments to correct it.
- Prepare or review and check all the monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (Withholding Tax Expanded and Compensation, Excise Tax and Value Added Tax) prepared by accounting assistants. Handle the BIR audit with regards to contesting their unusual / unfounded audit findings.
- Reply to queries and prepare report schedules and reconciliation that Japan IPS will require.
- Responsible person with regards to quarterly audit review and annual audit conducted by external auditors.
- Prepares or reviews accounting schedules (e.g. monthly bank reconciliation, lapsing schedules (PPE) and inventory reconciliation, etc).
- Prepare or review journal entries.
- Prepare and assist in the annual budget preparation.
- Computes or reviews the professional fees and sales commission incentives of staff and doctors based on the monthly commission schemes. Check the payroll prepared by the payroll accountant and will be the back-up of payroll accountant.
- Review and check the disbursement entries in the check vouchers and ensure all payments were in accordance with policy (supporting documents and approvals) of the company.
- Monthly and annual PEZA reporting.
- Supervision and coaching of accounting supervisors, officers and assistants. Conduct annual performance review.
- Reviewing various contracts that the company will enter into with regards to manner and terms of payment.
- Ensures that all rules and regulations, policies and practices on Finance matters are properly implemented.
- Communications with the third party (e.g. banks, suppliers, customers, etc.)
- Other tasks that Management and Japan IPS may assign from time to time relevant to the job position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php70, Php90,000.00 per month
