We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the operational functions within the trust and asset management/financial services industry. The COO will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, managing day-to-day activities, developing policies and processes, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain operational systems, processes, and controls to support business and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure quality and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee risk management practices and maintain controls to protect assets under management.
  • Maintain accurate records, and provide timely reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the functional team, fostering a high-performance and motivated work culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of experience in trust, fiduciary, or investment management operations, or at least 5 years as a banking/financial officer with relevant trust training.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, trust, and asset management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and ambiguous environment.
