We are seeking an Equipment Design Supervisor to supervise and guide a multidisciplinary team of design engineers, drafters, and technical writers. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process from concept to production, ensuring adherence to technical standards, project timelines, and cost objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, manage task assignments, and support ongoing technical development.
  • Design Oversight: Review and approve CAD models and documentation, ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Project Execution Support: Coordinate with project stakeholders to track design progress and ensure timely, on-spec delivery.
  • Process and Standards Enforcement: Enforce design standards and best practices while participating in reviews and audits.
  • Cross-Section Coordination: Work cross-functionally to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and smooth production handoff.
  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Resolve design-related issues and drive improvements based on testing, production, and field feedback.
Key Deliverables
  • Finalized and reviewed design documentation.
  • Accurate and complete BOMs and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Feedback and improvement reports from QA and production teams.
  • Implemented design enhancements based on testing and customer insights.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and material selection.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a technical environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation workflows and version control.
  • Experience in equipment or machinery design.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
