Job Summary:

Responsible for designing and developing mechanical products and components using CAD software, evaluating their performance, and collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and high-quality standards. Supports prototype development, technical documentation, and continuous design improvements for custom-made production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product and Component Design

2. Create 2D/3D drawings using CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.)

3. Determine product shape, dimensions, materials, and structure
4. Evaluate optimal shape and strength based on requirements

5. Specification Review and Technical Proposals

6. Collect and organize requirements from sales and development teams

7. Propose optimal design concepts considering cost, durability, performance, and manufacturability

8. Strength Analysis and Performance Evaluation

9. Conduct evaluations of strength, thermal properties, and vibrations using CAE software

10. Ensure designs meet safety standards and performance requirements

11. Prototyping and Evaluation

12. Participate in prototype development and testing

13. Implement design improvements based on test results

14. Collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality Departments

15. Verify design for manufacturability (DFM)

16. Discuss modifications for mass production and cost reduction
17. Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective measures for defects

18. Drawing Management and Technical Documentation

19. Create part and assembly drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials)

20. Manage design changes and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of materials science, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing processes
• Problem-solving skills and logical thinking
• Good communication skills to coordinate with manufacturing sites
• English and Tagalog proficiency
• Experience: Junior-level
