About the role...

The role is a hands-on position providing business advisory, accounting, and taxation services to the client. The role will offer client contact and various client related responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

FINANCIAL & TAXATION SERVICES

• Preparation of monthly / quarterly management accounts for the client related entities including performance analysis.
• Preparation of annual financial statements for various entities.
• Preparing activity statements and other compliance requirements for various entities.
• Monitor the compliance requirements of various clients.
• Correspondence with clients, ATO and other stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
• Provide assistance to the graduates in the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns. BAS's, IAS's and FBT returns.

COMPLIANCE

• Comply with the client policies and procedures at all times
• Actively execute all activities in an honest, compliant and trustworthy manner
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
• Report any issues relating to compliancy and risk management to the director

ADMINISTRATION

• Actively contribute to the improvement of the client services and systems, including data management, financial reporting, financial analysis, and ways of communicating with clients.
• Actively participate in committees and project groups when nominated

Qualifications / Skills:

• Hold an approved degree in accounting and membership of a recognized body.
• 2 years of experience in an Accounting firm.
• Possess good computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and accounting packages.
• Demonstrate an interest in Taxation and Business Advisory Services in public practice
• Demonstrate accountability for the tasks performed on behalf of the company
• Possess good written and oral communication, personal presentation and punctuality
• Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and be highly service oriented
• Be self-motivated, honest, compliant and trustworthy
• Possess sound business acumen and commonsense
• Confident and able to speak in a group environment
• Engage in your client list with assistance from senior staff members
• Must be flexible and able to problem solve
