AI Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Technology Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI Agents. This is a strategic, hands-on role requiring both deep technical expertise and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

As a Lead, you'll collaborate with global teams, influence enterprise AI architecture, and play a critical role in the success of high-impact AI initiatives across industries. This role is suited for individuals who are passionate about innovation, building real-world AI applications, and mentoring high-performing teams.

This position is open only to candidates currently residing in the Philippines. We are not offering international relocation or visa sponsorship for this role.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in productizing Gen AI /AI/ML/NLP/CV projects
• Experience in frameworks to depict the interpretability of models and MLOps.
• Extensive experience in managing model lifecycles, data management, analytics, and application development. 
• Good Understanding of mathematical aspects of Machine Learning such as cost function, gradient calculation, Derivatives, Convergence concept, exploding and diminishing gradient problems etc
• Practical understating of huge data handling in ML pipelines.
• Strong background in open-source tools such as Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy Apache Spark, SQL for database querying and manipulation, Good understanding to JSON and structure and parsing in Python, and Langchain
• Must have a good understanding of Large Language Models, RAG implementation and various opensource LLMs
• Good to have knowledge of deploying models on edge devices
• Good to have Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
• Design, develop, and train state-of-the-art AI/ML models including LLMs and AI agents for real-world applications.
• Serve as a technical mentor to a high-performing team of data scientists and engineers.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving AI adoption and solution alignment.
• Lead enterprise-grade AI architecture strategy and ensure security, compliance, and scalability across deployments.
• Identify new AI/ML use cases through go-to-market initiatives, demos, and stakeholder engagement.
• Champion Oracle's GenAI initiatives in leadership forums, tech communities, and customer presentations.
• Publish research findings, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and drive internal best practices.
• Collaborate across application development, DevOps, multi-cloud infrastructure, and integration teams.
• Provide program oversight, technical governance, and estimation for AI-led solution design and delivery.

• Experience architecting solutions on cloud platforms – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) preferred; AWS, Azure, or GCP also acceptable.

Additional Skills (Desirable):

• Familiarity with designing & deploying scalable digital web based applications. 
• Experience in multi-touch attribution, market mix modelling, fraud analytics, customer journey analysis, churn modelling, customer segmentation, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and recommendation engines.
• Experience in designing, implementing, testing, and shipping production-quality AI/ML software 
• Experience with analytics, machine learning techniques, advanced analytics, and end-to-end pipelines using frameworks like Kubeflow.

Overall, the ideal candidate for the data scientist role at Oracle GSC should have a strong educational background, significant professional experience in data science and related fields, proficiency in relevant technical skills and tools, and key competencies in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Additionally, familiarity with specific industry domains and advanced techniques in AI/ML is desirable.

Evaluation Criteria:

- Proficiency in programming languages will be tested through coding exercises and technical interviews.

- Use case presentations will be required to evaluate the candidate's ability to translate business problems into actionable insights and solutions.

- Demonstrated experience in deploying machine learning models and managing model lifecycles will be assessed through case studies and real-world scenarios.
