Role Overview

The VP for Business Development (Sales) is a strategic executive role focused on driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, business development initiatives, and strong client acquisition programs. This leader will manage and inspire the sales team, build long-term client relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while enhancing the firm's brand and market position.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales and market expansion strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities through trend monitoring and competitor analysis.
  • Bring in clients via networks, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.

B. Market Representation & Brand Advocacy

  • Represent the company at industry events, media engagements, and conferences.
  • Strengthen brand visibility through marketing campaigns and thought leadership.

C. Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine financial regulations (SEC, PSE, AMLC).
  • Maintain ethical standards and support governance practices.

D. Risk Management & Confidentiality

  • Safeguard client confidentiality and monitor compliance risks.

E. Industry & Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on brokerage industry trends and regulatory changes.

F. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with Legal, Compliance, and Operations for integrated strategies.
  • Support KYC, onboarding, and internal reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years
    in stock brokerage/securities industry, with proven leadership.
  • SEC Certified Securities Representative.
  • Deep knowledge of Philippine capital markets and brokerage operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
