Job Summary

The Government Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and policymakers to support the company's strategic objectives. This role involves monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, advocating on behalf of the organization, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute government relations strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulators, and industry associations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments affecting the company's business.
  • Advocate for the company's interests through direct engagement, lobbying, and participation in policy discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and to prepare for regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate and manage external consultants, legal advisors, and lobbyists as needed.
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in public hearings, industry forums, and government meetings.
  • Manage outreach programs to improve the company's public image and strengthen community ties.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, Political Science, Law, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of government processes, legislative affairs, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with government officials and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the relevant industry and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
