Position Description

The Sr. Accounting Manager/Controller reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for all finance and accounting operations of the company. In addition to leading the accounting department, this individual is an integral part of the senior management team and will have a critical role in strategic planning. This is a hands-on role with an opportunity to be part of the senior leadership team of a dynamic, growing business process outsourcing company.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting
  • Preparation and review of monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
  • Ownership of monthly and annual financial closing process and supporting records
  • Coordination/preparation of regulatory filings, audits and other reporting requirements
  • Accounting Operations
  • Management of all day-to-day accounting activities/process (ex: AR, AP, payroll) and general ledger maintenance
  • Development and oversight of internal financial controls and SOPs
  • Management and oversight of the accounting department
  • Designing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives in accounting operations
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory and legal requirements
  • Coordinate relevant communications with customers, vendors and strategic partners
  • Oversee cash management and banking activities
  • Managing ongoing operational reporting and financial planning & analysis

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years accounting experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a comparable role (preferably within the BPO industry)
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Experience with Philippines payroll, employee benefits and labor compliance
