Senior Accountant Bookkeeper

Contract Position | Work With Diverse Online Clients

Join our international team as a highly qualified Senior Accountant, supporting a wide portfolio including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies across a range of industry sectors. This fully remote, fixed-period contract role offers hands-on experience with tax compliance, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory projects for global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial records and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and ensure adherence to relevant regulations
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and statutory lodgements for entities of varying complexity
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, business advisory, and management reporting
  • Collaborate closely with senior accountants to deliver financial analysis and strategic advisory services
  • Prepare and reconcile work papers to the financial statement stage and maintain supporting documentation
  • Oversee payroll tax compliance, activity statements, and ensure accurate payroll management
  • Maintain meticulous client files and records, ensuring best practices and legal compliance
  • Handle complex tax and payroll matters and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or closely related field (major in accounting required)
  • Philippine-based CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification or recognized chartered accountancy equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years' proven experience in accounting, taxation, and payroll for diverse client types
  • Thorough understanding of tax and compliance laws in relevant jurisdictions
  • Extensive hands-on experience with MYOB (required) and Xero (preferred)
  • Strong commercial acumen and technical analytical skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and workload prioritization
  • Clear, concise communicator; collaborative team player able to build strong relationships remotely
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively, meet deadlines, and deliver quality independently
