Job Title: Data Team Manager

Department: Data & Analytics / Technology

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Team Manager to lead our data team

and oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data-driven solutions. The role

will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability while driving

analytics initiatives that support business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities


• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and scientists.


• Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines, databases, and

reporting systems.


• Collaborate with business leaders to understand data needs and translate them

into actionable insights.


• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with company policies and

regulatory requirements.


• Define and implement best practices for data management, analytics, and

reporting.


• Drive the adoption of data visualization tools and self-service analytics.


• Monitor performance of data systems and recommend improvements.


• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data management and

analytics.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making

across the organization.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field

(Master's preferred).


• Proven experience as a Data Team Manager, Data Lead, or Senior Data Specialist.


• Strong knowledge of data management, ETL processes, and data warehousing.


• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, or other relevant languages.


• Proficiency with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).


• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, BigQuery).


• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.


• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)


• Experience leading cross-functional data projects in an Agile environment.


• Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics.


• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).


• Experience in specific industry, e.g., fintech, e-commerce, healthcare is a plus.
