I. Job Purpose
The IT Technical Support provides hands-on IT assistance for users, offices, and warehouse operations in Luzon.
The role ensures proper functioning of computers, printers, network connections, and Microsoft 365 services while serving as the first line of IT support.
This position coordinates closely with the IT Systems Administrator for escalations, standardization, and compliance with IT policies.
II. Key Responsibilities
A. End-User Support
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, email, and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) user requests and password resets.
- Log, track, and resolve IT service tickets following defined SLAs.
- Assist new employees with device setup, user account requests, and access configuration.
- Conduct user orientation on proper IT use, data handling, and cybersecurity awareness.
B. Hardware & Network Assistance
- Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and network peripherals.
- Monitor local connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi) and coordinate outages or repairs with vendors.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of computers and network devices.
- Report recurring issues or performance gaps to the IT Systems Administrator.
C. Asset & Access Management
- Maintain updated inventory of all IT assets issued in Luzon (devices, accessories, SIMs, routers).
- Support tagging, deployment, retrieval, and disposal of equipment in line with IT-SOP-009.
- Ensure all devices have active endpoint protection and system updates.
- Coordinate user access creation/deactivation (joiner/mover/leaver process) with HR and Davao IT.
D. Coordination & Reporting
- Act as the onsite IT representative for Luzon offices and warehouses.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Systems Administrator (Davao).
- Submit weekly summaries of incidents, maintenance activities, and asset updates.
- Participate in scheduled IT meetings and training sessions.
E. Security & Compliance
- Enforce IT security protocols such as password policies, MFA, and restricted device usage.
- Promptly report security incidents, phishing attempts, or lost devices.
- Support company compliance with New IT SECURITY POLICIES of the company (to follow).
