About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join the team at Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corp' in Makati City Metro Manila. This full-time position will provide critical accounting support, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of financial records and processes for the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
  2. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents
  3. Liaising with internal departments and external vendors to resolve accounting-related queries and issues
  4. Providing administrative support to the accounting team, such as filing, data entry, and general office duties
  5. Adhering to all relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures
  6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient accounting practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting assistant or bookkeeping role
  2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  3. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  4. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Relevant educational qualifications, such as a degree in Accounting or a related field
