About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team at Jaya Guna Lancar (JGL) Inc. in Metro Manila. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our construction projects, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures to monitor and improve the quality of our construction projects
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of construction materials, processes, and final products to identify and address any quality issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements
  • Provide training and guidance to construction personnel on quality assurance best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to construction quality assurance
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality control documentation, including checklists, manuals, and reports

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying relevant construction codes, standards, and regulations
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead quality assurance initiatives
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software, such as statistical process control, defect tracking, and quality management systems
