Job Role: Mortgage Brokering Support VA

Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $1,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a reputable Australian mortgage and finance brokerage dedicated to helping clients secure tailored lending solutions across the country. The company prides itself on delivering expert, personalized mortgage advice that simplifies the home-buying and refinancing process for individuals and investors alike.

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Brokering Support Virtual Assistant to provide end-to-end administrative and processing support to our mortgage broking team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and experience supporting loan processing workflows, ensuring applications move smoothly from submission through settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage mortgage loan files end-to-end, from initial submission to settlement
  • Prepare, review, and lodge loan applications with lenders
  • Coordinate and collect client documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up with lenders, aggregators, and third parties to track application progress
  • Provide post-lodgement support, including status updates, condition tracking, and settlement coordination
  • Liaise with brokers, Real Estate Agents, credit assessors, conveyancers, valuers, and settlement agents to identify missing documents, valuation issues, credit concerns, or settlement risks before they become critical delays.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate file notes in CRM systems, ensuring brokers and aggregators can easily review loan progress, decisions, and actions taken
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and lender requirements
Requirements
  • Previous experience in mortgage broking or loan processing support
  • Strong understanding of mortgage application workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and document management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working remotely and collaborating with brokers
  • Experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lender portals is preferred
  • Knowledge of compliance and post-settlement processes is preferred
