About the role

Southern Arms Corporation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Aide to join our team at our aged care facility in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. As a Nursing Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being. This is a full-time position, with opportunities for career progression and ongoing training and development.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene
  • Monitoring and reporting on residents' health and well-being, and communicating any concerns to nursing staff
  • Providing companionship and engaging residents in social activities and recreational programmes
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by completing housekeeping tasks and following infection control protocols
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure the delivery of individualised, patient-centred care
  • Undertaking ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  • A caring, compassionate and patient nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and the wider care team
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and maintaining the dignity and privacy of our residents
  • Some prior experience in a healthcare or aged care setting, or a willingness to undertake relevant training
  • A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and public holidays
