Job Summary:

The Food Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities of the food production team. This role ensures the efficient and safe production of high-quality food products while adhering to strict food safety standards and company policies. The Supervisor will manage staff, monitor production processes, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Production:
  • Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, quality control) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adjust production schedules as needed to meet demand and minimize waste.

Team Management:

  • Train, mentor, and supervise food production staff, including cooks, chefs, and kitchen assistants.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Quality Control and Food Safety:

  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and other relevant regulations.
  • Monitor food quality and ensure products meet established standards for taste, appearance, and consistency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Minimize waste and spoilage through effective inventory management practices.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure that all food production equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Oversee cleaning and sanitation of equipment and facilities.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, waste generated, and equipment maintenance.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize production efficiency.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions, ingredient shortages, or quality control problems.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of issues.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, food science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food production, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using food production equipment and software.
  • Certifications:
  • Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
