Job Summary:
The Junior Business Development Officer supports the growth of the Accounts Department by identifying and developing new business opportunities across various industries. This role focuses on building client relationships and providing strategic advertising and marketing solutions aligned with diverse business needs.
The position requires a solid understanding of the advertising and marketing industry, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to support end-to-end business development activities. Responsibilities include market research, pitch preparation, client onboarding coordination, and assisting with sales and proposal documentation to support the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Support
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities across multiple industries, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, media, retail, technology, FMCG, real estate, finance, and professional services.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive lead generation, networking, referrals, and outbound initiatives.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to uncover new sectors and potential revenue streams.
- Manage the business development process from lead qualification through proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients.
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand client goals, challenges, and marketing requirements regardless of industry.
- Develop tailored advertising and marketing solutions based on client objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Maintain long-term relationships to encourage repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
3. Advertising Strategy & Campaign Support
- Demonstrate working knowledge of advertising services including digital marketing, social media, influencer campaigns, creative production, and traditional media.
- Align client needs with appropriate advertising solutions and platforms.
- Collaborate with creative, accounts, and production teams to develop compelling campaign concepts.
- Assist in monitoring campaign progress and preparing summaries or performance reports as needed.
4. Marketing & Brand Representation
- Support the promotion of Q Media 360 Advertising Corporation's services through presentations, credentials, and marketing materials.
- Represent the company professionally in client meetings, pitches, and industry events.
- Stay updated on advertising trends, tools, and platforms to strengthen sales strategies and client recommendations.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular business development reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts, and client interactions.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties related to business development as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar role.
- Strong background or hands-on exposure in the advertising, marketing, or media industry is required.
Skillset:
- Solid understanding of advertising and marketing solutions, including digital and integrated campaigns.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and client engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace; CRM experience is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and client needs.
