Role Overview

The HRIS Analyst – Reporting and Analytics is a key member of the HR Data and Analytics team, responsible for delivering accurate and actionable insights to support workforce planning, HR reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role leverages advanced SQL, data modelling, automation, and reporting tools to streamline HR processes and provide decision-making support across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

  • Design and implement Excel-based automation solutions, including VBA tools, to enhance reporting efficiency and data validation.

  • Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support HR and workforce analytics initiatives.

  • Design robust data models to enable effective HR reporting, workforce analytics, and headcount planning.

  • Own and manage risk reporting and broker registration processes.

  • Ensure data integrity and alignment across HRIS and reporting systems through governance, reconciliation, and quality control.

  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and support downstream applications.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role within financial services.

  • Advanced SQL skills, including experience with stored procedures, triggers, functions, and performance optimisation.

  • Strong Excel VBA development skills for building automation tools, forms, and reporting templates.

  • Experience in data modelling for reporting and analytics

  • Proven experience in people and regulatory reporting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with HR and cross-functional teams to support decision-making.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large, complex datasets with a focus on accuracy and data quality.

Desired

  • Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics or Finance degree, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with Workday or other HCM platforms
