MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall tax and customs strategy, planning, and compliance of the company and its related parties
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance;
  • Liaise with the purchasing and importations team to ensure accurate and timely payment of customs-related charges
  • Manage all Customs and Tax audits and recommends settlement
  • Responsible for transfer pricing planning, documentation, and compliance
  • Maintain systems and procedures to ensure the company is audit-ready
  • Monitor current and impending changes on all tax and customs regulations and perform an assessment of the impact on the company.
  • Manage the relationship with external tax advisors for compliance and other consulting activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferably CPA
  • 3-5 years professional experience in a Tax Manager capacity
  • Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the tax and customs code
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership skills required.
  • Must be team-player / able to work well and develop a good working relationship with others
  • Ability to identify and communicate problems and discuss various solutions
