Purchasing Assistant

Job Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant supports the Purchasing/Procurement Department in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services needed by the company. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, processing purchase requests, maintaining records, and assisting in monitoring inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and processing purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Source quotations and coordinate with suppliers for pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.
- Assist in evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and service.
- Encode and file documents related to purchasing transactions.
- Support the Purchasing Officer/Manager in daily procurement activities.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any 4-year course (Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- At least 1 year of purchasing or administrative work experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reports, spreadsheets) and knowledgeable in other MS Office applications.
- Knowledgeable in purchasing procedures, supplier coordination, and basic inventory management.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Trustworthy, dependable, and a good team player.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php15, Php18,000.00 per month
