Position Summary

The Global Purchasing Buyer is responsible for implementing the company's global procurement strategy by securing optimal sourcing solutions, managing supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective operations. This role oversees the full purchasing cycle, supports cross-functional teams, develops new supplier relationships, and drives continuous improvement across multiple international locations.

Key Responsibilities :

Procurement Execution for Infrastructure, Equipment & Auxiliary Materials

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders from initial request to purchase order completion.
  • Work closely with the CSUS operations team.
  • Engage with suppliers to gather quotations and evaluate pricing aligned with SOWs.
  • Source and qualify new suppliers while identifying alternative options and opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations and finalize agreements/contracts in line with company policies.
  • Manage procurement projects end-to-end—from defining requirements to full implementation and goal achievement.
  • Consolidate and compare supplier quotations and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement workflows, issue purchase orders, and monitor all commercial aspects through PO closure.
  • Prepare and evaluate performance reports and periodic summaries.
  • Manage supplier relationships and track performance metrics.
  • Develop annual procurement plans and monitor execution progress.
  • Present procurement updates, materials, and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in global industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, including equipment purchasing and subcontractor oversight.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to interpret drawings/specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Sound decision-making skills and ability to work under tight deadlines and budget limitations.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel within assigned regions.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
