Job Description

We are looking for a finance professional with strong analytical and organizational skills to handle both general ledger accounting and accounts receivable functions. This hybrid role includes end-to-end ownership of general ledger transactions, timely issuance of sales invoices based on billed hours or project-based billings, and effective management of customer receivables. The role requires accuracy in financial reporting, attention to detail in client invoicing, and proactiveness in managing credit risk and collections.

Job Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting and billing. 

• Experience issuing service-based or time-based client invoices.

• Proficient in accounting software and ERP Systems (Reckon, Microsoft Business Central).

Job Responsibilities

General Ledger Accounting:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) 

• Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll) 

• Perform monthly and year-end closing activities and reconciliations 

• Reconcile key accounts such as bank, intercompany, payroll, and advances 

• Ensure integrity of financial data and alignment with internal controls 

• Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documents 

• Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements 

Billing and Credit Control: 


• Generate and issue accurate sales invoices based on approved billed hours, timesheets, or project billing schedules 

• Coordinate with operations or project teams to validate billable hours and deliverables 

• Ensure timely submission of invoices to clients and proper documentation for each billing 

• Monitor unbilled revenue and ensure completeness of billing each month 

• Maintain and update client billing schedules and billing terms in the system 

• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables 

• Maintain client communication logs and collection notes for audit trail 

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve client disputes and billing issues
