SUMMARY:

The General Ledger Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, maintaining the integrity of accounting records, and supporting financial reporting requirements. The role will also involve account reconciliation, audit coordination, and supervision of day-to-day general ledger operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or related fields.
  • Experience in E-Commerce or Logistics is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries and adjustments.
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of audit schedules.
  • Develop, implement, and improve accounting procedures and policies related to the general ledger.
  • Monitor fixed asset accounting, accruals, and other key balance sheet items.
  • Review and approve general ledger account reconciliations prepared by staff.
  • Lead and mentor general ledger accounting staff, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Support the Finance Manager and other senior leaders with ad-hoc reports and analysis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month
