The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's financial operations. This role involves supervision of accounting staff, transaction postings, and providing support during audits and month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post and verify daily financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accountants, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Prepare lead schedules for account reconciliations and reporting
  • Act as custodian for petty cash, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or General Ledger Accountant
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
  • Familiarity in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
