About the Role

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the general ledger functions, perform account reconciliations, and assist in the month-end close process including partnering with our EMEA Accounting Manager. You will collaborate with various departments and work closely with the Controller to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

What You'll be Doing

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis
  • Prepare consolidations, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
  • Partner with the Accounting Manager to ensure all international accounting is complete
  • Support AP processes by reviewing, verifying, and processing supplier invoices
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with audits
  • Perform other duties as needed

Location: Hybrid (1 office day in BGC, 4 days work from home/week)

Hours: 11:00PM - 8:00AM, Monday - Friday.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of General Ledger Accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Netsuite.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions
  • Experience in analyzing large transactional volumes, preparing trend analysis, and resolving variance issues
  • Independent thinker and problem solver with ability to present solutions
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks appropriately, and handle multiple responsibilities at once
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
