
Director for Training and Learning Management

The Director of Training and Learning Development is responsible for setting the strategic direction, design, and implementation of learning and development (L&D) programs across the organization. This role ensures employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to achieve business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The Director leads the training team, partners with business leaders, and leverages modern learning technologies to deliver impactful programs.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Program Development
- Develop and execute the organization's learning and development strategy aligned with business goals.
- Design, implement, and evaluate training programs covering leadership, technical, functional, and soft skills development.
- Introduce innovative learning solutions, including e-learning, blended learning, coaching, and mentoring programs.
- Ensure training initiatives support employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop the training and L&D team to deliver high-quality programs.
- Partner with executives and department heads to identify skill gaps and design targeted learning interventions.
- Build relationships with external training vendors, consultants, and academic institutions to expand learning opportunities.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of training programs, including needs assessment, content development, facilitation, and post-training evaluation.
- Ensure training content is up-to-date, relevant, and accessible across all levels of the organization.
- Monitor training schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of training initiatives.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve learning programs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in learning technologies, instructional design, and workforce development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in training, learning and development, or organizational development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale learning initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and modern learning technologies (e-learning platforms, LMS, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to link learning programs to organizational goals.
