Job Summary

The Senior Director – Human Resources, Payroll & Training provides strategic leadership and oversight across the HR function, payroll administration, and training & development programs. This role ensures that HR policies, compensation and benefits, workforce development, and employee engagement strategies align with organizational objectives. The Senior Director is also accountable for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance with labor regulations, and the delivery of effective training that supports employee growth and organizational capability.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Drive HR policy development and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws.
  • Partner with senior management in organizational development and change management initiatives.
Payroll & Compensation Oversight
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with tax and government regulations.
  • Ensure proper administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor payroll systems and implement process improvements.
Training & Development
  • Develop and implement training strategies, programs, and learning interventions that build workforce capability.
  • Oversee leadership development, technical training, and employee learning pathways.
  • Measure training effectiveness and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and career development.
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Champion employee engagement programs and organizational culture initiatives.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Act as a senior advisor to management on people strategies and organizational effectiveness.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, data privacy, and internal HR policies.
  • Oversee HR, payroll, and training audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Establish internal controls and risk management frameworks within HR operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • 12–15 years of progressive experience in HR, payroll, and training, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in strategic HR leadership, payroll governance, and training program management.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, compensation structures, and learning & development methodologies.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
