ELIXER MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE is in need of Laboratory Aide/Swabber to be assigned in LIFECARE-CLINIC (Don A. Roces Ave, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila)

Qualifications:

  • Graduated of BS Medical Technology or Underboard Medical Technologist
  • At least 6 months experience in a clinical, laboratory or health care setting (priority but not required)
  • Experience in mobile clinic operations or vaccination/swabbing programs is an advantage
  • Good communication and patient-handling skills.
  • Willing to be assigned in Roces, Quezon city

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform swabbing procedures (e.g., nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, or other specimen collection as required).
  • Assist in receiving, labeling, and preparing patient specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Ensure accuracy and proper documentation of patient information and sample details.
  • Follow strict infection prevention and control protocols during specimen collection.
  • Assist medical technologists and laboratory personnel in routine tasks and laboratory operations.
  • Safely transport collected samples to the designated processing area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the swabbing and laboratory area.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and assist in inventory monitoring.
  • Provide pre- and post-collection instructions to patients.
  • Support administrative tasks such as encoding, filing, and organizing records.
  • Comply with laboratory safety regulations, quality control guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
