Primary Purpose:

Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing occupational safety and health (OSH) policies, programs, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • OSH Compliance & Policy Implementation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE OSH regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Conduct periodic safety audits and inspections.
  • Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
  • Identify workplace hazards and assess risks.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations and prepare reports.
  • Training & Awareness
  • Organize and conduct safety orientation for new employees.
  • Provide regular safety training and emergency drills (fire, chemical spills, first aid).
  • Promote a safety culture across the organization.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Maintain safety records (accidents, near misses, inspections).
  • Submit required OSH reports to management and DOLE (e.g., Annual Medical Report, accident reports).
  • Track compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) use, safety signs, and emergency procedures.
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Coordinate first aid and medical response in case of workplace accidents.
  • Ensure all emergency equipment is functional and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certified Safety Officer (as required by DOLE for SO1/SO2 positions).
  • Knowledge of Philippine OSH laws and DOLE regulations.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
