The Specialist - LGU Compliance & Utilities Connection Administration is responsible for ensuring compliance with local government unit (LGU) regulations and managing the necessary connections for utilities, such as electricity, water, and telecommunications. This role involves working closely with government agencies, utilities providers, and internal teams to ensure that all required permits, licenses, and documents are secured and that utility services are properly established for projects, operations, or new developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Local Government Units (LGUs) to secure permits, licenses, and compliance certificates needed for utility connections and related administrative tasks.
- Handle the submission of necessary documents and follow up on permits for utility connections (e.g., water, electricity, telecommunications).
- Manage and maintain records of all regulatory approvals, permits, and utility service agreements.
- Monitor and ensure that utility connections (electricity, water, internet, etc.) meet all local government and utility provider requirements.
- Act as the point of contact between the company and local government agencies or utility providers.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in utility connections or compliance processes.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders regarding utility connections and compliance.
- Maintain a knowledge base of local regulations and utility provider requirements to stay updated on any changes.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams to ensure compliance with LGU and utility regulations for new projects or operations.
- Ensure timely renewals and updates of necessary permits and utility-related documentation.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or any related field.
- Familiarity with local government regulations, permitting processes, and utility connection procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with government officials and utility providers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience in managing documentation systems.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to do fieldwork and coordinate directly with LGUs or utility providers as required actively.
