Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or any equivalent
  • Certified Bookkeeper or relevant certification is a strong advantage
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a service-oriented or engineering/consulting firm.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine Tax Regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • With good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately record all sales invoices and official receipts issued to customers for services rendered.
  • Accounts Receivable monitoring.
  • Generate and maintain detailed Accounts Receivable Summary Schedules and Aging Reports.
  • Meticulously verify, code and record all sales invoices received from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and process payments to suppliers via check, bank transfer, or other approved methods, ensuring all payments are timely and accurate.
  • Generate and maintain detailed Accounts Payable Summary Schedules and Aging Reports to track outstanding obligations and manage cash flow for disbursements.
  • Accurately compute, withhold, and record the correct Expanded Withholding Tax rates on various payments as mandated by BIR regulations.
  • Value-Added Tax (VAT) management
  • Accurately calculate and record Output VAT from sales/service invoices. Maintain a Summary Schedule of Output VAT which is critical for filing the quarterly BIR Form 2550Q.
  • Scrutinize supplier invoices for valid Input VAT claims. Ensure invoices contain the required BIR-registered details (TIN, Address, etc.). Maintain a Summary Schedule of Input VAT, segregating valid claims from those that are disallowed, to support VAT refund claims and accurate quarterly filings.
  • Assist in the preparation and timely filing of monthly and quarterly percentage tax, expanded withholding tax, and VAT returns.
