POSITION SUMMARY

The Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of building projects. The role ensures that designs are functional, safe, sustainable, and compliant with building codes and client requirements. The Architect collaborates closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design & Planning

  • Develop architectural concepts, plans, and detailed drawings.
  • Prepare design proposals, sketches, and 3D visualizations.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
  • Incorporate functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and cost efficiency in designs.

2. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Attend project meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Provide technical guidance during construction activities.

3. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and review architectural plans, technical documents, and specifications.
  • Submit and secure required building permits and regulatory approvals.
  • Ensure all drawings follow industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and reports.

4. Client Relations

  • Present design concepts and revisions to clients.
  • Gather client requirements and incorporate them into the project design.
  • Provide professional recommendations to improve project quality and feasibility.

5. Quality & Safety

  • Ensure materials and construction processes meet quality standards.
  • Identify potential design issues and implement corrective solutions.
  • Promote safety and compliance throughout the design and construction phase.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed Architect (preferred or as required by company).
  • Proven experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other design software.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
