Technical Writer - WFH

The Technical Writer will play a key role in documenting operational workflows, technical processes, and customer-facing materials.

Job Description:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals.
  • Research, develop, and document technical design specifications.
  • Produce electronic and printed documentation, including user manuals and process guides.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Analyze documents to ensure continuity, clarity, and consistency in content and style.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature and documentation.
  • Determine the appropriate type and format of publications to best serve project requirements.
  • Plan writing processes, establish timelines, and meet documentation deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and project managers to gather detailed information about products, processes, or systems.
  • Assess the audience's needs and adjust tone, structure, and technical language for clarity and comprehension.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop diagrams, charts, and visual aids that enhance understanding of technical content.

Requirements

  • With Engineering background or experience
  • Candidate must have specific software/IT engineering background or experience
  • Either engineering background or relevant IT experience is required

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in IT services or software environments.

  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.

  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft suite of office applications, Confluence or SharePoint.

  • Must have personal equipment; PC or Laptop and reliable internet connection
