I. JOB SUMMARY

  • Prepares and files Complaint, Answer, Motion or other pleadings in the assigned cases, within the prescribed / turnaround time, and in accordance with the evidence at hand, and latest applicable law and jurisprudence.
  • Presents evidence for the Bank and obtains favorable orders/resolution/decisions in the assigned cases.
  • Ensures attendance in pre-trial conferences, trials, and all other stages and hearings of assigned cases.
  • Exhausts modes of amicable settlement on terms beneficial to the Bank, and ensures that the client's proposals are properly conferred with the approving authorities.
  • Records and monitors periodically the status of cases by updating case files on what transpired in court hearings and noting therein Orders issued and motions / pleadings filed.
  • Coordinates with and assists the Bank's external counsel in the latter's handling of outsourced cases.
  • Ensures that the goals of Litigation Unit of Legal Services Division for the year are met.
