A Payroll - Analyst I is responsible for payroll processing tasks which include, but are not limited to consolidation of payroll inputs, completion of payroll summaries, review of payroll registers, generation of bank files, and validation of the work of other members of the team. They also ensure that the day-to-day tasks are performed according to the acceptable standards defined in the Service Level agreements. The role acts as a back-up for other members of the team. The role partners with the team leader to work on personal development and meet career progression/development objectives while observing a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence inside and outside of the organization.

Payroll Management:

  • Handles end-to end- payroll processing of at least 1,000 to 3,000 employee headcount of clients, including bonuses, adjustments, and ad-hoc requests.

  • Handles at least 1 module for an account with at least 5,000 to 10,000 client employee headcount.

  • Collates information for above processes, produces reports and journals, and files.

  • Prepares, codes, and processes journals for employee provisions (when applicable).

  • Reconciles payroll related general ledger accounts.

  • Prepares various payroll related reports for managers.

  • Calculates termination and redundancy pay as required.

  • Processes and reconciles year end payroll requirements including payment summaries, tax annualization, and other associated reports.

  • Reconciles Alphalist.

  • Coordinates assigned day-to-day payroll functions.

  • Works with teammates to deliver accurate and timely payroll.

  • Coordinates with client management and staff regarding payroll inquiries

  • Serves as tier 2 support group for the contact center team.

  • Keeps oneself up-to-date and informed of existing process flows

  • Collaborates with the support functions to be abreast of changes

Back-Up / Validation / Checking:

  • Performs validation role for payroll processes of other members of the team.

  • Checks and validates all assigned payrolls, ensuring 100% compliance to statutory, regulatory, and organizational policies.

  • Serves as a back-up resource for other members of the team ensuring business continuity.

  • Identifies and implements simple process improvement initiatives.

  • Raises issues and risks encountered in operations.

  • Assists in the maintenance of process documentations ensuring processes are accurately captured and remains in compliance with acceptable global standards.

Reports Management:

  • Assists in the generation and creation of client-specific and internal reporting requirements.

  • Supports internal reporting requirements – productivity and efficiency, performance, and service delivery.

  • Participates in service delivery reviews with clients and internal management team when necessary.

  • Leads the completion of process documentation.

Others:

  • Reviews and updates processes to improve efficiency and to meet the changing needs of the organization.

  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
