Qualification

  • Any 4 year course
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in logistics
  • Exposure to Freight Forwarding and Logistics is an advantage
  • With driving skills and a valid driver's license

Job Description

  • Ensure that trucks are being operated properly and safely by all drivers

  • Report any unsafe truck condition or driving habits to the Manager

  • Coordinate with the chief mechanic regarding vehicle and equipment performance and repair schedules, ensure communication and the resolution of maintenance problems

  • Benchmarks and compares repair quotations for cost-effective pricing. Ensure used parts are re-use when possible

  • Monitoring diesel consumption and submitting reports on fuel consumption monitoring of each truck.

  • Review monthly vehicle log and ensure accuracy

  • Check to make sure that all driver/helper paperwork and pre-tips are being completed daily with each truck

  • Gives direction to workers while supervising and resolving problems in the trucking business.

  • Follow up on any pre-trip issues or problems

  • Communicate any safety or mechanical truck problems with the Manager

  • Responsible for the disbursement, liquidation, and replenishment of cash advances for the trucking operations.

  • Recommends cost-saving measures through working closely with the drivers, helpers, dispatcher, and garage mechanic. Teach and train his subordinates on new systems to improve the operations

  • Initiate and maintain any necessary safety precautions in the garage area.

  • Checking semi-monthly summary of trucking payroll

  • Attend and report monthly performance and update on trucking operation

  • Review OHS and schedule and conduct an orientation with all trucking personnel

  • Make sure that all company-issued trucking communication equipment such as GPS and cellular phones are functional, used properly, and maintained in good working condition

  • Checking of inventory reports of spare parts and equipment

  • Checking the Trucking Liquidation and Valenzuela expenses

  • Check the report of non-receipted trucking expenses

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php23, Php24,000.00 per month
