REPORTS TO: Transport Planning Manager

DEPARTMENT: Transport Planning and Coordination

JOB PURPOSE:

The job purpose of a Route Planner Supervisor is to lead efficient and timely transportation operations through effective route planning, coordination and manpower management. This role aims to optimize delivery schedules, minimize costs, and enhance overall logistical efficiency by strategically planning routes and managing fleet resources.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Ensures that Route Planners strictly adhere to Transport Procedures.

•    Ensures to strictly follow parameters for the routes planning process

•    Approves route plan strategically based on the given resources and orders

•    Communicate critical truck resources concerns to In House and Subcon

•   Manages 3rd Party Trucking services for truck availability and performance

•   Manages completion of trucks per warehouse bases on call time.

•    Ensures that all transfer requests are covered and on time

•    Ensures that pull out process hits its target lead time.

•    Manages critical delivery concerns related to truck availability

•   Contact sales supervisors regarding any customer or item-related concerns during route planning.

•   Leads and initiates route planning projects and process improvements based on opportunities.

•   Ensures all of the reports are completed based on agreed timings.

•   Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to address major concerns or issues.

•   Lead strategic planning and provide improvements for route planning process.

•   Lead and maximize automated systems and tools to provide route planning efficiency.

•    Coordinate resolution of critical truck problems with Transport Dispatcher/Operations Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must possess the following:

*Graduate of any 4 year course

•  1-2 years experience in route planning.

•   Must maintain a positive working attitude.

•   Ability to effectively manage personnel.

•   Strong attention to detail.

•   Capable of working well under pressure.

•    Proficient in quickly solving problems.

•    Proficient in Microsoft and Google application
