Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Assistant Training Manager to support the leadership and operations of our Offshore Business Unit. This role requires an individual capable of taking on managerial-level responsibilities, overseeing course implementation, ensuring compliance with OPITO standards, and supporting the continuous improvement of training operations.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in training management, preferably within the offshore or maritime industry, and is ready to take the next step toward a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall management of OPITO-accredited offshore training courses.
  • Supervise instructors, assessors, and support staff to ensure effective training delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with OPITO standards and the company's Quality Management System.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for training programs.
  • Coordinate with clients, accrediting bodies, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, evaluations, and documentation of training performance.
  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Maritime, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training operations, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience in the offshore industry is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with OPITO Standards and accreditation requirements is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and training documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain operational excellence.
